Christine and Andrew

Christine and Andrew were married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns this Saturday. They are an adventurous, well-traveled pair who call Hoboken their home. I loved what Ilise Harris did with Christine's hair. The wedding was beautiful and Stone Barns served an amazingly delicious feast. Thanks to David Mielcarek for working with me and Christine and Andrew for the honor of photographing this important day!

When it rains, it pours

You asked for it- you got it. Here is proof of last Saturday's shoe choice for the the grassy reception. :) Preparedness is key. Thanks to David Lim for the use of his photo and thanks to my Tretorns for keeping me dry and able to my job!

Koleen and Thomas

On one of the wettest mornings of the year, I drove down to shoot Koleen and Thomas on the property of the bride's parents house. The reception took place under a tent and another tent was out over the tennis courts, which served as the ceremony site and also the dance floor later on in the evening. During the emotional vows that took place between the lovely couple, Thomas said that when they woke up to the pouring rain that morning, they just looked at each other and laughed. The easy-going pair smiled and danced and I think besides the occasional foot being sunk into the muddy grass, no one even noticed the weather. In fact, just as the ceremony started, the sky cleared and it didn't rain for the rest of the evening! I was glad I brought my new stylish black rainboots so I could splash around and find the best angles. Thanks to David Lim for shooting with me!

Katie and Shaun

On a winery upstate, Katie and Shaun got married on a perfect Saturday. Their wedding was simple and elegant. They had friends come in from all over the word and their ceremony was performed for them by a good friend who traveled from Japan to be there. I worked with Elisabeth Millay on this wedding and was happy to photograph such a fun and beautiful couple. The rain held out right until the close of their gorgeous tented reception.

Cynthia and James

Cynthia and James were married this past Saturday at Queens Botanical Garden. It was a perfect day for a garden wedding. I loved that Cynthia had each of her bridesmaids in a different spring color. Her wedding dress was a stunning Vera Wang design and halfway through the reception, she changed into a gorgeous Qi Pao, which is a traditional Chinese wedding dress. I was so happy to be documenting this sweet couple's wedding day.



Thanks to the very talented Michelle Arlotta for spending the day shooting with me. Another big thanks to the wonderfully fun and creative Alex Rodrigues for photographing backdrop "photobooth" portraits during the reception, which was a huge hit among the guests!
